MEET THE TEAM
Mike Riches - Director
Mike spent 24 years as a senior pastor in
Tacoma, WA, U.S.A. before founding The Sycamore Commission. Mike and
his wife Cindy are the parents of two grown daughters who live and
serve the Lord in the United States, while Mike and Cindy now reside in
London, England. From there Mike directs The Sycamore Commission and
ministers in teaching, training, and prayer to churches and church
leaders in many countries across Europe and in the United States. Mike
is the author of The Living Free Course, Living Free: Recovering God's Design for Your Life, One World Two Realms, Strongholds: Understanding and Destroying Satan's Schemes, Hearing God's Voice, and various training manuals.

Cindy Riches has been Mike's wife and valued ministry partner
since 1974. A gifted teacher in her own right, Cindy enjoys serving the
Body of Christ through speaking, ministering in prophetic prayer, and
sharing the hope and life of Jesus with the people God brings across
her path. She is the mother of two grown daughters with whom she loves
to spend time whenever possible.

Piers & Emily Jennings - Ministry Associates
Piers and Emily come to our team with a strong desire to be apprenticed and equipped to serve the Lord in a full-time, occupational capacity. They will be entering into a time of personal discipleship with Mike and Cindy Riches, and will also participate in practical ministry in the various venues in which The Sycamore Commission interacts with churches and individuals.
Emily is a full-time mother to the couple's two daughters. She is also a student, pursing a second bachelor's degree in the field of psychology.
Piers' background is as a stockbroker and successful derivatives sales trader. His experience and insight in the financial and corporate world is a great blessing and resource to the mission and objective of The Sycamore Commission: to take the message and ministry of Jesus not only to the Church, but to see it transform all levels of business, culture and society.
Hilary Murdoch - Executive Assistant
Hilary has a strong background in organizational strategy and project management. She is Mike and Cindy's Executive Assistant and works to accomplish much of the detail and planning required in the running of the operations of The Sycamore Commission. She is also involved in practical ministry to churches and individuals with Mike and Cindy.
Hilary holds a degree in geography from Oxford University and has always been keenly interested in different cultures and places. Most recently she transferred from her career in ethical trading consultancy to join The Sycamore Commission ministry team.
Hilary was introduced to the concepts of "Jesus-ministry" at a conference in 2004. Since that time, she has been excited about applying the truths in her own life and in prayer for others and she is keen to be part of bringing the impact to society at large. Her passions include communication of truth, prayer and seeing people grow in freedom through Jesus Christ.
Tom Jackson - Trustee
Tom is an ex-lawyer who has spent recent years in business, church ministry and social enterprise. His particular interest is in seeing renewed and visionary churches generating effective answers to the widespread societal challenges of our day. He is a founder of the Faithworks Campaign, the Centre for Social Justice (a Westminster based think tank) and SPEAR, a nonprofit programme helping unemployed young people into work in London. He is Church Warden at St Paul's Hammersmith and has an MA from the London School of Theology and an MBA from Henley Management College.
After two years working in South Africa, Tom and his wife Sarah returned to London where they now live with their three young daughters.

James Meldrum - Trustee
James is an ex-corporate finance lawyer, joint owner of
a fresh local food business in West Sussex and a strategic business adviser to
a derivatives trading business in the City.
He has a deep passion for seeing business operating under
and in the authority of Jesus Christ and was one of the founding trustees of A
Call to Business, an organization committed to empowering, mobilising and
equipping Christian business men and women in their place of work.
James attends the Point Church in West Sussex with his
wife and three children. |

Tom Jonez - Chief Operations Officer and Board Member
Dr. Jonez brings to The Sycamore Commission a strong background in business and corporate development combined with a deep devotion to Jesus Christ and a marked sense of compassion for the poor and underprivileged. Tom is a marketing and business strategy consultant, and also serves as the chief operations officer for Restore International, a world-wide organization devoted to ending human-rights abuses, restoring justice to children, and serving the poorest of the poor around the world.
Tom is an elder at Harborview Fellowship in Gig Harbor, WA, the church from which Mike and Cindy are based in the U.S. He and his wife, Faye, have one daughter.
Arlyn Lawrence - Editing & Publishing, Sycamore Publications
Arlyn is a writer and editor who utilizes her skills in the development and publishing of the Sycamore Commission's books and equipping/training resources. A contributing editor and columnist for Pray! Magazine (NavPress), she also compiled and edited the PrayKids! Teacher's Guide: A Hands-On Guide for Developing Kids Who Pray, and co-authored Prayer-Saturated Kids (both NavPress).
Through writing, speaking at various church and conference venues, and prayer ministry with her husband, Arlyn enjoys communicating the love, truth, and power of Jesus. Arlyn and her husband Doug have five children (aged pre-teen through adult) and live in Tacoma, WA.
Danny DeWalt - Board Member
Danny DeWalt is an attorney and partner of Goff & DeWalt LLP in Gig Harbor, WA, and a teaching elder at Harborview Fellowship, the church which serves Mike and Cindy's U.S. base. Danny is also the vice president of Restore International, a world-wide organization devoted to ending human-rights abuses, restoring justice to children, and serving the poorest of the poor around the world. Danny and his wife Amy are the parents of two daughters.
Larry Godt - Board Member
Larry Godt is a business consultant in the field of leadership development and operational excellence. An elder at Harborview Fellowship, he has a keen passion for learning and teaching biblical truths that bring significant life change to people. He enjoys ministering with young adults, marriages, and men's groups, as well as participating in various opportunities for compassion ministry in third world nations like India and Uganda. He and his wife, Lisa, live in Gig Harbor, WA and have two daughters.
Kindra Mitchell - Financial Accounting/Resource Fulfillment
Kindra is an essential part of the team, working on bookkeeping, general accounting, and order fulfillment for The Sycamore Commission U.S. Her background is in business, with a degree in Business Education. Prayer ministry is one of her deep passions, having seen her life changed by the Lord through it and is particularly excited about seeing marriages and families restored. Kindra is a Deacon at Harborview Fellowship, Mike and Cindy’s home church in the US.
She lives in Gig Harbor, WA with her husband Scott and her two young sons. Kindra absolutely loves being a mum and also enjoys the outdoors, hiking, reading and travelling.
